Frequently Asked Questions
What file format should I provide?
Please upload a .gltf, .glb, .fbx, .obj or .blend file (maximum 100MB). If your source mesh is in a different format, please send us an e-mail to see if we can assist with providing a compatible option.
What do I receive?
A Blender file (.blend) containing your mesh rigged with a custom facial control rig and all 52 ARKit blendshapes, plus a glTF export. From the Blender file you can also export to FBX, OBJ, or any other format your engine supports.
How long will it take?
After you upload your mesh, we'll check the model topology and style to see if it fits our rigging process. If so, you'll receive your rigged mesh within 72 or 48 hours (depending on the option you selected). If the model has poor topology or is too heavily stylized for us to rig properly, we'll send you an email immediately.
Can I request revisions?
Unfortunately, no. We strive to offer a cost-effective pricing model for facial rigging; this just isn't possible with open-ended requests and revisions. However, this is why we are happy to offer you a full refund if you're not completely satisfied with the blendshapes for your model.
Will mesh topology be affected?
Generally, no, however eyeballs, tongue and brows may need to be separated from the entire face mesh. If the mesh topology itself doesn't lend itself to appropriate rigging, we will contact you immediately.
Is my mesh/file kept confidential?
Absolutely. Everything is stored securely, accessible only to a small number of people for the sole purpose of rigging. Your assets will never be shared, reuse, or redistributed.
Does it include tongue?
If your facial mesh includes a tongue, the TongueOut blendshape will be created.
Does it include a body rig?
No, we currently only provide facial rigging.
